Install Picasa / Unzip SimpleViewer

If you have not done so already, please download the two files

Be sure to have Google Picasa 'checked'

Once you have installed Google Picasa, unzip the second file to your Picasa web templates folder (usually C:\Program Files\Picasa2\web\templates).

Create SimpleViewer Gallery

Open Picasa
Select the images you want to make a gallery with
Click Folder --> Export As Web Page
Select your image size and gallery title
In the Template Page, select SimpleViewer
Click Finish

Edit Gallery Settings (optional)

Once your gallery is created, you can modify it so that it suits your needs better. For example, Furious Photographers adjusted theirs so that it has pink borders on a white background. Also, they changed the number of thumbnails and such. This link goes directly to Air Tight Interactive's website's instructions on modification of the gallery.xml file. It can be opened with any text editor such as notepad.

Setting Background Colors (optional)

To modify the background color, simply enter the hex value that you would like into the parameter of the index.html file. This too can be opened with any text editor such as notepad.
