Welcome to Picture Proofs! Our original idea was to create a cheap and efficient way of helping wedding photographers proof their images online. During the test of time, we realized that it is difficult to match every photographer's website design due to variations in color, page size, and etc. As a result, we would like to share a new way to proof images online. It is nearly fully-customizable and easy to use. Below is just a tiny version of what we are talking about - everything is customizable (color, thickness, padding, number of rows and columns, picture size and etc. The small sample of wedding photography images are courtesy of Furious Photographers

For more details on how to create a chic online proofing gallery like Furious Photographers', you simply need two programs that will make your galleries with ease. The first software is Google's photo organizer (download and install to get the latest version). The second software is developed by Air Tight Interactive.

Photography techniques and post production secrets

A successful wedding photography business centers around a few items - service, marketing, photography and post-production. In this section, we will focus on the post-production part of wedding photography. Having the ability to capture great moments is only half of the battle. The real magic happens behind the computer with powerful programs. The titan of all post-production (editing) programs are Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.

Adobe Photoshop is crucial in color correction and exposure adjustments. Adobe Illustrator is used for vector designs (mathematical calculations). However, Adobe Photoshop will be more widely used. We will dwell more on using Adobe Photoshop.

Add yourself to our directory

Let's say that you are one badass photographer - so what? First off if you provide quality work, you will definitely get referrals. However, what if you want to broaden your market to brides shopping on the internet? There are a few ways how you can get your name out.

1. Add yourself to wedding photography directories such as the Knot or the Wedding Channel.
   The only setback is that it can be costly - sometimes $300/month
2. The other option is to add your website to directories that have high Page Rank
   When sites of similar content link back to your site, it puts "value" or "significance" on search engine prioritization.

Usually other sites charge from $10 (little sites) - $300 (google/yahoo) per year for them to add your website to their directories. This "backwards link" is very important for search engines. Let's just say that brides are searching "Los Angeles Wedding Photography," wouldn't you like your website to be on the first two pages? Your exposure would increase phenomenally!

Greg Burmann and Furious Photographers decided to offer this service for dirt cheap. For the meantime, all websites have to be approved and added manually. We are giving everyone a fighting chance on Google, Yahoo or MSN search engines.
